You know what’s different, and really makes people think? It’s how distinct jobs seem to pay a different amount but you wouldn’t really think that. For example, everyone wants to make a lot of money. But a lot of these people are working at a company. And I’m not one of those people to be like “oh you need to be your own boss,” but it’s like most humans either think you have an hourly minimum wage type job or you have a corporate salary type job.
What’s peculiar to me is the fact that there are people who make great money but are in a distant category. For example, plumbers. People think of plumbers as like oh, those guys who repair your pipes. Yeah. Sure. But most of them are their own managers. Most of them are self-employed. And most of them make great money. Not joking. For some reason there’s this comparison between nasty jobs and not making a lot of money. But look. Look at this site. Look at the salary for plumbers.
That’s more than a lot of people make. Kind of amazing, correct? Still, people do not think this. They think oh, I want a clean inside job with an office and a tie. But they might abhor that job. They might lack the knowledge that there are other jobs out there that might be good, furthermore.
To be fair, they are helpful jobs. I do not know how to fix a drain. I do not know how to fix a sink. I need a plumber to do that. Sure, you can look it up on YouTube, but I prefer someone to come do it for me. People generally never remember that there are people who do the things you do not want to do.
So basically, really think about learning the work of plumbers. Honestly. People’s sinks are regularly going to break. They’re going to need someone to fix them. I’m not going to do it because I do not know how. Do you? Maybe you will need to call someone. Who are you going to call? You’re going to call this person who knows how to fix your problem. And you’re going to pay them a lot of money. Most of the time you are probably willing to have someone else do it.
